Chapter-1

Introduction on Oil and Gas industry, Chemical plants, Petroleum and utility sectors and Roles and responsibility of Piping Engineer in various industry. Introduction on other departments in EPC Sector.

Chapter-2

Introduction on Piping design system, Definition of pipes,valves,fittings,special parts,mechanical equipment.

Types of pipes,fittings,valves,special parts etc.Introduction of Codes and Standards for Piping system, ASME B31.3

Chapter-3

Introduction of mechanical equipment like Pumps,Heat exchanger,Compressor,Distillation column,Chiller,Cooling tower,Boiler,Turbine,Pressure vessel,Tanks,Heater,Reactors,Agitators,Hydro-pneumatic system.

Chapter-4

Introduction of :- PFD/PID, Equipment layout, Nozzle orientation, Piping layout, Isometric,Fabrication drawing, Piping support drawing, GA Drawing, Piperack.

Chapter-5

Introduction of materials for Pipes,fittings,valves,special parts,plate etc. ASTM table,Valve datasheet,Piping Material Specification (PMS),Special parts datasheet,RF Pad calculation,Mitre bend calculation,Pipe Wall thickness calculation.

Material selection criteria for Piping system.

Chapter-6

Detail Design Engineering of Plot plan development as per OISD 118

Chapter-7

Detail Design Engineering of Piperack Design (Process and Utility)

Chapter-8

Detail Design Engineering of Tank farm as per OISD-118,Introduction of petroleum products ( Class A/B/C and  excluded)

Chapter-9

Detail Design Engineering of distillation column and Its various equipments.

Chapter-10

Preparation of Piping MTO / BOQ at various stages (30%,60%,90%)

Chapter-11

Preparation of piping layout for Pump suction / Dischage lines,Isometric and BOQ for the same.Preparation of nozzle orientation drawing for Horizontal / Vertical vessels / Tanks.

Chapter-12

Introduction of Piping supports:- Primary and Secondary for critical and Non critical piping systems.Introduction of piping insulation and Heat tracing.

Chapter-13

Introduction of stress analysis and Ceaser-II

Chapter-14

Overview of PDMS software

Chapter-15

Personality development and mock interview, Communication skills and Final exam
